As a rule I don't get too political on here.
I keep my views and opinions pretty close to my chest on my blog.
Anyone who knows me or who can read between the lines knows that
I am a feminist and women's issues are a priority to me.
I just don't don't go around beating my views into everyone's head.
However, today I will make an exception and post about
Bitch magazine and how they need help.

I received this post from my friend Sheri and want to spread the word.


As we all know magazine circulation as a whole is down
and they, like everyone else are feeling the pinch.
It is a not for profit magazine and they don't have "ads" to pay for their publication.
You know, those horrible fashion ads that make everyone feel inadequate.
They are funded by their readers.
They are looking for small donations from regular gals like you and me.
They need $40,000 by October 15th.

I am going to make a small donation today.
I am an avid reader and have been for years.
I enjoy their publication very much and it would be a real shame if
they couldn't make a go of it like many other small publications.

Being an independent of any kind is tough.
Whether it is a clothing studio like mine or a magazine or a restaurant owner you
rely on the loyalty and patronage of regular people like you and me.
I know it isn't supposed to be easy.
If it was easy, everyone would do it.
It once again brings me to the issue of thinking about
how and where you spend your money.

I will now get off my soap box.
